We are so pleased that Little Daffodils have sent us some of these wonderful lanyards to offer to families and healthcare professionals to hand out to families in their care. These are for expectant parents who have lost a baby or child. A way of telling healthcare professionals that there has been a previous loss, to ensure that parents get the right care, as well as some empathy.
It is a way to let professionals, in particular, know whether or not they are speaking to a parent who has had a loss.
It can be really difficult when you are invited in for more regular scans and have to explain yourself time and again why you are there and why the need for multiple appointments. Stickers and notes are sometimes not read or recognised, and some Trusts only offer electronic notes now which makes it difficult to use a sticker to signify a previous loss.
We are hoping this will help reduce pregnancy after loss stress a tiny bit – that these will help when introducing yourself to the receptionist, sonographer, or anyone who you’ll come into contact with.
Please feel free to select free postage on this product if ordering alone or with support literature – we wish to make these as accessible as possible to bereaved families in need of these resources so don’t wish cost to be a barrier.
If you are a healthcare professional and would like to place a bulk order for lanyards, please get in touch with us or contact Julz at Little Daffodils directly (https://m.facebook.com/Littledaffodilspail/) – we want to make these available at no cost to more easily enable you to offer them to families in your care.
